A 3-year-old girl is safe after wandering away from a family barbecue and spending the night alone in California's Mendocino County woods.
More than 100 people combed the area near Philo looking for Hannah Hendrick after she disappeared Saturday evening. Searchers found her around 11 a.m. Sunday about a mile and a half from her aunt and uncle's house, where she went missing 17 hours earlier.
Authorities say Hannah suffered only a few scratches and a case of poison oak.
Lt. Rusty Noe says the girl apparently found a patch of ground when she grew tired and slept.
Paramedics found no obvious signs of injury, but Hannah's parents told authorities they planned to take her to the hospital as a precaution.
