BILLINGS - When it comes to internet speed a new report says most states are leaving Montana and Wyoming in the dust. A study by the Communications Workers of America found the average download speed in Montana is 2.3 Megabits per second and 2.6 Megabits per second for Wyoming. That's significantly less than the 5.1 Megabits per second average across the United States. The survey ranked Montana and Alaska dead last followed by Wyoming, Idaho, and Hawaii. Delaware was ranked number one at 9.9 Megabits per second. Bresnan Communication officials believe the survey has some holes and say the average user in Billings receives 8 Megabits per second in downloading time.
