Prosecutors say the $90,000 cash found in the freezer of a former Louisiana congressman was just the most recent bribe money he'd received.

A jury was hearing closing arguments Wednesday in the bribery trial of Democrat William Jefferson, who is accused of receiving more than $400,000 in bribes and seeking millions more in exchange for using his influence to broker business deals in Africa.

Prosecutor Rebeca Bellows told jurors that Jefferson was engaged in numerous bribery schemes while serving in Congress and that the only difference with the money in the freezer is that he was caught on tape receiving it.

Earlier in the trial, jurors saw video of Jefferson picking up a suitcase filled with cash.

The defense will present its arguments Wednesday afternoon.
