It was a wedding night with both highs and lows.
At a West Chester home, the Saturday night celebration of the union of two people was dramatically interrupted when a deck holding close to a dozen people gave way.
Officials confirmed that five people were treated for minor injuries after they were dropped around 10 feet as the deck collapsed toward the house.
Initial calls about the scene, situated near the intersection of Woodbridge Lane and Eagle Ridge Drive, reported as many as 50 people plunging from the house's balcony, sending a Mass Casualty Bus and several fire crews.
Those reports, however, proved to be exaggerated when crews reached the scene.
The guests said they are grateful things turned out better than first feared. The bride and groom were uninjured.
