Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will deliver the keynote address at a dinner sponsored by the House and Senate Republican campaign committees.
Palin, the party's 2008 nominee for vice president, will address the annual Senate-House Dinner June 8 at the Washington Convention Center.
Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, called Palin one of the GOP's most popular and recognizable faces and a proven leader who "represents a breath of fresh air from the business-as-usual crowd in Washington."
Last fall, she electrified and energized crowds across the country, and we expect she will generate a similar amount of enthusiasm at this spring's dinner," added Cornyn.
Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, praised Palin's conservative values, achievements in Alaska and "sheer energy."
The GOP is seeking to rebuild after losing ground in the House and Senate and losing the White House in 2008.
