The deal
Lately, instead of getting away to exotic locales, many people are choosing a cost efficient “staycation” that’s closer-to-home. As a result, far off destinations like Hawaii are witnessing a large drop in tourism, and to encourage visitors, several airlines are dramatically lowering rates.
Hawaiian Airlines has announced unheard of round-trip fares starting from as little as $238 round-trip, and Continental Airlines is supplying some competition with prices starting from just $149 each way.
The lowest fares being offered are for departures from West Coast cities to Honolulu and Maui, but discounted flights are also available from other major U.S. cities. In order to escape to paradise this year, you must book Hawaiian Airline’s remarkable fares by Feb. 27 and Continental flights by March 11.
