With a new president comes a new era at the Environmental Protection Agency.

That's the message first lady Michelle Obama had for EPA employees during her brief visit to the agency Thursday.

She said the changing times also put the agency "at the center of President Obama's highest priorities — securing America's energy independence and securing the future of our planet by combating climate change."

The first lady's appearance at the EPA was her sixth in a series of visits to federal agencies. Mrs. Obama has said she wants to learn about the agencies and meet government employees on her listening tour through the federal bureaucracy.
