Msnbc.com, the award-winning news site widely recognized as the best on the Internet, is looking for an intern to work within our Advertising Operations team to assist with entry-level online advertising activities such as gathering reporting metrics for online ad campaigns, monitoring impression data and investigating discrepancies, maintaining campaign screenshots, and minor ad trafficking responsibilities such as scripting and un-scripting of new campaigns.
This is an entry-level internship with no minimum work experience required--it is a great opportunity for someone with a keen mind, a thirst for online news and monetization trends, and the following skills, to go behind-the-scenes and learn how this comes together at one of the top news sites on the web:
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to deliver top-notch customer service to msnbc.com’s sales force
• Proficient in Excel including data filtering and reporting
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Basic knowledge of major web browsers and their particularities
• Understanding of web traffic metrics such as unique visitors and page views
