$10,000 was presented to the Guam Medical Society to help cover costs associated with the 4th Micronesian Medical Symposium. The Guam Healthcare and Hospital Development Foundation gave the donation supporting this year's event, which will focus on cancer in the islands.
The symposium will be held on October 9-11 at the Guam Marriott and will feature medical experts from California, Hawaii, the Philippines, Belgium and Sweden.
