Congratulations to Loni Rocchio of Indianapolis. Her image of a waterfall in Nice, France, received the most votes in this week’s It’s A Snap photo contest.

Rocchio snapped the winning photo nearly two years ago – on Christmas Day in 2006. “We had to eat at a Chinese restaurant because everything else was closed,” she said.

Rocchio and her husband took a trip to southern France while they were living in Northern England completing a Master’s program.

She had heard French people were rude, but said they had a great time on their 8-day stay. “People were friendly – it was a great mix of old and new, and the food was delicious, of course.”

Rocchio said she took the picture with a little digital flash camera – “no special lens, nothing like that” – and said she got lucky with lighting.

The Rocchios have been back to Europe since, and are planning a trip to Germany, and perhaps Italy, sometime in 2009.
