A Detroit airport spokesman says a Northwest Airlines flight was evacuated and searched by police dogs before takeoff.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport spokesman Mike Conway says authorities removed passengers from Flight 467 before the scheduled 1:30 p.m. departure for Atlanta.

He says officers and police dogs searched the plane.
