A Texas-sized homecoming celebration at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is planned for Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin.
Liukin, of Parker, Texas, will be feted on Thursday upon her return from Beijing.
A statement from the Frisco Convention and Visitors Bureau and the WOGA Gymnastics Academy says Liukin and her family are scheduled to arrive Thursday afternoon on a United Airlines flight and the celebration will be held at the airport’s Terminal B, Gate 35.
The city of Parker is planning a parade on Saturday to honor the gymnast. After the parade, a reception will be held at Southfork Ranch in the Pavilion.
