All 128 passengers and crew on an El Al jet have been safely evacuated at Israel's Ben Gurion airport after the plane suddenly filled with smoke today as it prepared to take off.
A passenger on the Zurich-bound 737 says there was a "burnt smell" and smoke poured into the cabin from the air vents before the pilot put on the brakes. People were evacuated down the plane's inflatable slides and were met by emergency crews on the runway.
It's not known yet what caused the smoke.
