A car crashed into a bus stop Friday, hitting two people in Linda Vista, according to police. It happened at the corner of Genesee Avenue and Linda Vista Road before noon.
Police said a car entered the intersection on a red light, striking a truck that had the right of way.
The driver of the car lost control and careened into the bus stop on Genesee where two people were seated. Both were hit run over by the car.
A Red Cross volunteer witnessed the crash and told NBC 7/39 she ran to assist the victims as soon as they were hit.
According to Aurora Sanks, the victims were a man and his wife. Sanks said an off-duty firefighter rushed in to help with the victims.
Police arrived and blocked off the intersection.
Four people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Police said they were suprised there were no major injuries in this case.
