One person is dead and two people are missing after a boat overturned Thursday afternoon on an East County lake. The sheriff's department said it happened at 5:18 p.m. on Lake Henshaw, a water-recreation area west of Warner Springs.
A dive team and Heartland fire crews were deployed to the scene, but stopped their search due to weather.
According to sheriff's Lt. Sylvester Washington, the dive team will resume their search Friday morning for the two missing boaters.
A thunderstorm had developed over East County at the time, but it is unclear if weather played a factor in the accident.
