Anne Arundel County police said a man attempted to drive off with a tractor-trailer loaded with televisions early Monday morning. Police said an employee for John Ritter Trucking in Annapolis Junction saw a tractor-trailer driving away from the business without its headlights on. He told police that the truck was loaded with televisions and that it was not authorized to leave the company.

Police spotted the tractor-trailer on State Route 175 and stopped it in Jessup. The driver -- Demond Woodson, of Elkridge -- attempted to run from the officer, but he was caught after a brief chase.

The tractor-trailer contained between $50,000 and $200,000 worth of televisions.
