Soldiers use photos, music, and their laptops to compose moving memorials.

There will be many tributes this weekend remembering America's war dead, but among the most poignant we've seen are those being created by U.S. soldiers in Iraq to honor their fallen comrades. They've used ordinary snapshots of their friends, music, and their laptop computers to compose powerful and moving memorials.

Dateline shares some of these video tributes on Sunday. Below are some of the men who were honored by their friends.

"On the anniversary of these losses, several of us got together and watched these videos," says LTC Christopher Gibson. "It's something you like to do both alone and with others. The pain never goes away. The pain does dull to a degree over time, but it never goes away. This is a human life that has left. A life that's cut short will never enjoy all the things that we all look forward to. And so it's really to celebrate the incredible courage and character of this individual who gave their life for something greater than themselves."
