A cab driver's story is a double-edged sword in the Duke rape investigation. MSNBC's Rita Cosby speaks directly with the cab driver about what he says happened that night as he drove one of the suspects home.

A cab driver in Durham sheds light from a different perspective on the Duke rape investigation, which could be a double-edged sword for the rape suspects. The cabbie, Moez Mostafa, tells what he saw and heard when he took Reade Seligmann, one of the suspects, home.

His story appears to match the young man's alibi, and that could very much help him. However, the cab driver's story may actually hurt some of the other players. He talked to Rita Cosby about what happened after he dropped off Seligmann and then went back to the house for another call.

Mostafa says he will testify under oath.

This is a transcript of their conversation.

RITA COSBY, HOST, "LIVE & DIRECT": You made a second pick-up that night near the house, one actually at the house. What did they say in the cab that was unusual to you?

MOEZ MOSTAFA, DURHAM CAB DRIVER: I remember one guy, he said in a loud voice, She's just a stripper.

COSBY: Do you think he was complaining about the stripper or something bad happened with the stripper?

MOSTAFA: I have no idea. I don't have any information about what's going on in the house.

COSBY: Now that you look back.

MOSTAFA: Yes. When I look back, he looked like he was mad at the stripper, or the stripper, was going to call the police.

COSBY: Did it seem to you that someone had been raped in the house and they were talking about a rape?

MOSTAFA: No. My mind couldn't go that far, but it looked to me like somebody got hurt. I have no idea.

COSBY: Moez, where were you on March 14th?

MOSTAFA: March 14th, I was here at the station and working by myself.

COSBY: And what call did you get?

MOSTAFA: I got a call at 12:14.

COSBY: Now, Whose phone number showed up at 12:14?

MOSTAFA: That phone number belonged to Reade.

COSBY: Reade Seligmann, who has now been charged in the Duke rape case.

MOSTAFA: Yes, ma'am.

COSBY: How do you know for sure that you picked up Reade Seligmann?

MOSTAFA: I know his face at the time, and I recognized him. I remember his face.

COSBY: So what time do you think you arrived there at the house?

MOSTAFA: I guess between 12:19.

COSBY: So just about five minutes later?

MOSTAFA: About five minutes, yes.
