A man pleaded guilty Thursday to hiding the body of a Powerball jackpot winner’s granddaughter after she had overdosed on drugs.

The teen’s boyfriend, Stephen “Brandon” Crosier, 19, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful disposal of a body.

Crosier found 17-year-old Brandi Bragg dead of a drug overdose at his father’s home last December after the two had taken drugs, prosecutor Mark Sorsaia said.

The teen panicked, wrapped the body in a tarp and blanket and hid it beyond a broken-down van in the yard, Sorsaia said. Crosier led police to the body two weeks later.

The medical examiner’s office determined Bragg died of a fatal combination of methadone and cocaine.

Crosier also pleaded guilty to two felony drug charges that are expected to bring him a two- to 10-year prison term. His sentencing is set for Feb. 17.

Jack Whittaker won a record $315 million Powerball jackpot on Christmas Day, 2002. At the time, it was the largest undivided lottery prize ever. He took his winnings in a lump sum payment of $113 million after taxes, which he shared with his granddaughter and other family members.
