By Star Meat Delivery Inc. of Lucama, North Carolina, is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat products, according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture announcement posted Tuesday.
The items were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, meaning they weren’t confirmed to be “safe, wholesome and properly labeled” by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The recalled meat is also labeled with a false USDA mark of inspection, the announcement added.
This recall has been classified as class I, the highest health risk. This classification refers to “a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death,” according to the USDA.
On Sept. 24, Star Meat Delivery posted an official statement to its Facebook page to add “context” to the USDA announcement.
“Our customers and the people we serve have always been our priority,” the statement reads.
Star Meat Delivery Inc. says it sourced the recalled meat from a USDA-inspected supplier and processed and packaged it while the “approval process was still underway.”
It also claims that its products were not marked with a fake USDA stamp.
The statement goes on to say, “we are cooperating fully with the appropriate authorities to finalize application and are following the recall procedures that have been put into place.”
Which Products Are Being Recalled?
Any meat product produced by Star Meat Delivery Inc. with an inspection and establishment number that reads “EST. 1363” is falsely labeled, according to the announcement. Consider it misbranded and unsafe to eat, the FSIS warned.
The vacuum-sealed raw pork, beef and goat products were produced on various dates before Sept. 22, 2026.
They were packed into cardboard boxes ahead of shipping, and once they arrived at their destinations, may have been relabeled with the respective retailer’s sticker and handling instructions, the announcement said.
The FSIS will update the product list as it gathers more information, but as of Sept. 23, the following products with a label that reads A&D Foods are subject to recall:

Where Was the Recalled Meat Sold?
The recalled raw pork, beef and goat products were shipped to A&D Foods, a distributor in Duluth, Georgia, to then be shipped again to individual retailers and restaurants across the country.
Why Is the Meat Being Recalled?
“Food produced without inspection may contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants that put consumer health and safety at risk,” the recall announcement explained.
The FSIS website adds that, under the Federal Meat Inspection Act, all meat sold commercially that is intended for human consumption must be inspected wholly or in part. This applies to livestock including cattle, sheep, swine and goats.
The FSIS discovered this recalled meat had been falsely labeled and never inspected “during FSIS surveillance activities,” the announcement says.
What to Do If You Purchased Recalled Meat?
If you bought any of these recalled items, do not eat them. The FSIS also urges restaurants and retailers not to sell or serve these products.
Instead, throw them away or return them.
So far, there have been no reports of illness or injury from customers who consumed these products. However, if you are concerned about illness or injury, the announcement says to contact your healthcare provider.
