The Supreme Court has scheduled the argument on the so-called contraceptive mandate in the Obamacare law for Tuesday, March 25.
That's when the court will hear the challenges brought by two businesses whose owners say providing contraceptive care would violate their religious beliefs.
Last week, the Obama administration urged the Supreme Court to reject another complaint from a group of Colorado nuns. The government argues that the nuns are already exempt from the law as a church organization. The nuns do not want to sign a waiver asking for an exemption, saying it would make them complicit.
The 2010 Affordable Care Act requires that health insurance pay for birth control as part of a suite of basic preventive services. Dozens of legal challenges have been filed over the contraceptive requirement.
