Now, a new book called "Swallow: Foreign Bodies, Their Ingestion, Inspiration, and the Curious Doctor Who Extracted Them," details the practice of Dr. Chevalier Jackson, a larynologist who specialized in the nonsurgical extraction of foreign bodies that were swallowed or inhaled.
