Now, a similar case has happened in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Associated Press reports that poor John Matthews believes he picked up his little stowaway when he was in Mexico or while turkey hunting. Doctors at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics zapped his eye with a laser to kill the worm. And this is where it gets gross: according to the Telegraph Herald of Dubuque, Iowa, Matthews said he "could see it from behind, moving, trying to dodge the laser." EW.
