Rachel Crenshaw, 33, is missing in paradise.

The Vero Beach, Florida resident vanished from the coastal town on September 26. According to police, Crenshaw was last seen that evening around 8 p.m., near a home on Flamevine Lane. Neighbors reportedly witnessed Rachel engaged in an altercation with her boyfriend, Carlos Lopez. She left on foot, leaving behind her car, cell phone and wallet. She has not been seen since.

“That’s one of the most difficult portions of this case,” Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey told Dateline NBC. “Many times, we are able to trail somebody when they have means such as a credit card, debit card or phone. But we have her purse and wallet in our possession and it was left behind in the vehicle, so there was no way to track her.”

Police believe Crenshaw’s relationship with boyfriend Carlos Lopez was “on again, off again” and that they argued regularly. According to Currey, Lopez has been cooperative with police, as has his son, who was also at home at the time of Crenshaw's disappearance.

According to police, Rachel has a husband and two children in Gainesville, Florida, though police say she has not been in touch with them since May. She also has extended family in Ohio. The police are pursuing any possible leads both at home and afar.

“We have not ruled out foul play,” Chief Currey told Dateline NBC. “There are just so many variables at this time.”

At the time of her disappearance, Rachel Crenshaw was dressed in a white New York Jets T-shirt, jeans and black shoes. She is described 5’5” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

If you have any information that can help bring Rachel home, please contact the Vero Beach Police at (772) 978-4610.
