A Minnesota family has been in a state of limbo for more than two weeks ever since teen Jordan Krolak went missing.
Jordan, 17, has run away in the past, admits her family. However, the Argyle teen, described online as bubbly and independent, always returned or made contact within a few days. Now, as the days and weeks pass since Jordan was last seen, many in the community are concerned for her safety.
“Well, there are so many scary things out there, and with trafficking such a high risk now, it is terrifying.” Jordan’s aunt Patty Wojciechowski told Dateline.
Marshall County Sheriff Jason Bowman told Dateline that although Jordan may have left of her own free will, there is no guarantee she has not met with some type of foul play.
“We don’t know exactly what’s going on,” Sheriff Bowman told Dateline. “She has never been gone this long, so that’s concerning. We just don’t know what could have happened in the time since she’s been gone.”
Many online believe Jordan may have run away with another teen, Casey Danielson, who disappeared the same day Jordan did. Both girls were at a center in Bemidji, Minnesota and were out working at a community event when they disappeared. Jordan was due to return home in mid-July, family members say.
The Facebook group ‘Please help find Jordan Lorraine Krolak & Casey Louise Danielson,’ which was started in an effort to spread awareness and news in both girls’ disappearances, has nearly 5,500 members as of Monday afternoon.
Authorities from several counties are investigating, but say there are few clues as to where the teens may be.
Jordan’s family simply would like know that she is somewhere safe.
“Jordan, please let someone know that you are OK,” Barb Wojciechowski, Jordan’s mother, told Dateline. “It doesn't matter what… there is nothing that you could do, or that could be done to you, that would make us turn our backs on you.”
Jordan Krolak is described as 5’5” tall, weighing 130 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a white shirt. Casey Danielson is described as 5’5” tall, weighing 125 lbs. with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing brown pants and a black shirt.
