Updated at 3:40 p.m PT: Over the years, octuplets-and-then-some mom Nadya Suleman has insisted that she would do whatever she had to do to support her 14 kids -- as long as that didn't involve starring in a pornographic movie. Now? The woman known as "Octomom" has had a change of heart.

It seems tough financial times, which recently necessitated doing an about-face on her no-public-assistance pledge, have led Suleman to reconsider an X-rated future.

And it seems she's certainly in dire straights when it comes to money. Our pals at E! News have confirmed that the 36-year-old mom of 14 has filed for bankruptcy.

"I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year and filing Chapter 7 was one of them," Suleman told E! News. "But I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start."

As for possibly venturing into adult films to pay her bills, she told HLN's "Showbiz Tonight": “You know if the opportunity comes up, I'll be the first to admit, I’m gonna eat my words! Because all that matters is that I can take care of my family."

So, if the price is right, she'll participate.

"If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's gonna allow me to get us out of here and into a very safe, huge home that (the kids) deserve, I'm gonna do it," she explained.

As of earlier this month, during an interview with TODAY, Suleman discussed her recent move to pose topless, but insisted that porn was strictly off limits for her.

“I won’t touch other human flesh,’’ Suleman said at the time. “The only flesh I’m touching is my own. I would never, never accept anything. I will not lose my grip of my deeply indoctrinated morals and values."

Even though it seems she's now willing to adjust those values, she may not see the sort of payday she hopes for. In 2009, shortly after Suleman gave birth to the latest members of her brood, Vivid Entertainment bigwig Steve Hirsch offered her $1 million to star in an adult film. Now that years have passed and the aforementioned topless shoot has removed some of the mystery, Hirsh recently revealed that he is now only willing to pay her $100,000 -- in exchange for starring in three films.
