Since joining Dateline in 1997, Vince has covered stories from Hurricane Katrina to the Sandy Hook shooting to the assassination of a Russian defector. Prior to Dateline, Vince was a producer with CNN in Miami. Journalism is Vince’s second career. After graduating from college he spent 6 years working as a hard-hat deep-sea diver -- 3 of which were spent in the South China Sea oilfields.
Vince and Keith Morrison started work on the Tucker Reed story after hearing about it from Oregon-based Dateline producer, Shane Bishop, in April 2017 -- long before Tucker was cast in “From the Dark” or the video of the shooting was discovered by investigators.
