In the early morning of December 4, 2024, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was walking into the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan for the company’s annual investors’ conference.
Little did he know, someone was waiting for him to arrive. A masked gunman approached Thompson from behind, fired, and fled the scene, leaving Brian Thompson to die.
NYPD officers found two shell casings and an unfired round at the scene that told the story. Each had a one-word inscription: Depose. Delay. Deny.
