Accusations of plagiarismweren't the only thing that had people talking about Melania Trump's speech at the RNC. Many people wondered if the potential future first lady had actually been inspired by another notable wordsmith: New Wave rocker Rick Astley.

"He will never give up and he will never, never let you down," Trump said of her husband.

Many took note of the similarity to a line from Astley's 1980's pop hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up," which found new popularity over the last decade as part of a viral meme known as "Rickrolling."

From Astley's No. 1 Billboard hit: "Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you."
