Asked directly by Chris Wallace if he condemned Russia’s believed hacking of a Clinton aide’s emails, Trump said: “Of course I condemn.”

“I never met Putin. This is not my best friend,” Trump reiterated before continuing to slam Clinton for being "played" by Putin.

“She has been outsmarted and outplayed,” Trump said.

Clinton responded by claiming Trump would make the world less safe by tearing up U.S. alliances with allies abroad and calling for increased nuclear armament.

She reminded debate watchers that there is just four minutes between when a president gives the order to launch a nuclear strike and having the weapons launched.
