Over 43 Million Early Votes Have Now Been Cast Nationwide

One day ahead of the presidential election on November 8, more than 43 million (43,194,446) early votes have been cast across the country. So far, more women (55 percent) have voted early than men (44 percent). 

Nationally, Democrats have an edge among early voters — 42 percent are afilliated with the Democratic Party, while 38 percent are affiliated with the Republican Party. Eighteen percent are not affiliated with either major party.

Nationally, those who have cast early ballots so far skew older; 72 percent are 45 years of age or over. About a quarter are under 45.
