No evidence of widespread voter fraud, but Trump vows vigilance
President Trump on Monday vowed a tough response to voter fraud, warning Americans that officials will bring down the hammer on any illegal voting in today's midterms.
"There are a lot of people ... that try and get in illegally and actually vote illegally, so we just want to let them know that there will be prosecution at the highest level,” Trump told reporters on Monday.
There’s no evidence that widespread voter fraud exists, or that there "are a lot of people" voting illegally as the president said. There’s new laws in eight states, and a slew of new policies that have the potential to cause problems at the polls.
