A Turkish Airlines flight en route to Brazil was forced to change course and land in Casablanca on Monday after a note with the word "bomb" was found in the toilet, the airline said.
Officials searched the plane once it landed and found no explosives, spokesman Ali Genç said in a statement to NBC News. Passengers were expected to re-board the aircraft and continue on their journey to Sao Paulo the same day, Genç said.
Flight TK15 had departed from Istanbul with around 250 passengers when it declared an emergency and diverted to the Moroccan city, the statement said.
The Boeing 777 landed in Casablanca by around 12.30 p.m. local time (7.30 a.m. ET). Genç said it was not confirmed what time they would take off again.
