"I love thinking about the people who built this and what they would think of it now," said homeowner and restaurateur Jerry Kleiner.
When Kleiner bought his Chicago home, it was a brick garage. Built in 1923, the industrial building was a shell awaiting his vision.
"I enjoy taking a property and making it totally special," Kleiner explained. "To me, it was taking the foundation of that industrial garage, the integrity of it and ... using it as an open canvas to create a villa in the city."
