Recently in celebrity real estate, the celeb couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt bought a home in Ojai, Calif., Sheryl Crow listed her Hollywood Hills compound, and Kevin James dropped some serious cash on a Florida home.
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt go green with Ojai home purchase
Just as Reese Witherspoon is moving out of Ojai, Hollywood couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are moving in. The pair bought an eco-friendly estate for $2.15 million, according to property records and a report by TMZ.
Best known for his stint as funny co-worker Jim Halpert on “The Office,” Krasinski married actress Blunt (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “The Five-Year Engagement”) in 2010. Krasinski recently sold a home in West Hollywood for $880,000. He also owns another home in West Hollywood that he purchased for $1.857 million in early 2009. Originally listed for $2.494 million, Krasinski and Blunt’s Ojai home purchased in June sits on the site of the original Ojai hotel. The four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home was built in 1982 and covers 4,177 square feet. Powered by solar energy with access to well water, the home has a separate guest wing, four fireplaces, a three-car garage and pool with spa.

All she wants to do is sell her home: Sheryl Crow lists Hollywood Hills compound
Sheryl Crow said her life came to a screeching halt in 2008 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After 20 years of living in Los Angeles, where the singer-songwriter was inspired to write hit songs about Santa Monica car washes and peeling labels off bottles of Budweiser beer, Crow packed up and moved to Tennessee.
Four years later, Crow’s eastward migration seems to be final. On Oct. 1, she listed her Hollywood home for sale. The singer is seeking $15.95 million for the 11-acre property at Vista St., Los Angeles, 90046.
Crow’s property mirrors her rise to pop stardom and consists of three separate parcels and homes that she collected as her fortunes rose in the 1990s. The compound was featured in Architectural Digest in March 2011.
Crow lived in the four-bedroom, 3.5 bath Spanish colonial that was built in 1924. She used the three-bedroom, three-bathroom Craftsman built in 1909 as a guest house for friends, family and members of her band. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow dates back to 1885, with white oak floors and a clawfoot bathtub.

Comedian Kevin James buys $18.5 million Florida home
Kevin James has just become king of a new home.
The “King of Queens” actor dropped $18.5 million on a new home in Delray Beach, Fla., with his wife, Steffiana de la Cruz, and three kids in August, according to the Real Estalker.
The Florida home measures 12,828 square feet with eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms. Living spaces are enormous, with high ceilings and access to outdoor patios. The gated estate sits on 1.85 acres of landscaped grounds boasting luxury features such as a saltwater pool, cabana with kitchen and bath, guest house, sports court as well as oceanside gardens.
Inside, the home’s amenities run the gauntlet from a private gym and billiard room with wet bar, to the master suite, which has a terrace with a fireplace and adjoining meditation room. Additionally, the home has a spa with a whirlpool hot tub and massage table, kids’ game room, wine room and staff quarters.
Of course all of this doesn’t come cheap. According to Zillow’s mortgage calculator, James is looking at a $64,524 monthly mortgage payment, assuming a 20 percent down payment on a 30-year mortgage.
