You might want to throw away that P.F. Chang's Mongolian Style Beef in your freezer.
ConAgra Foods, the company that distributes the Asian restaurant's frozen food, is recalling almost 192,000 pounds of P.F. Chang's frozen chicken and beef products after small metal shards were found in sugar used in the product's sauce, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The recall expands on the company's July 7 recall of 3,800 pounds, totaling in almost 195,600 pounds of frozen items.
The metal fragments are between two and nine millimeters in size and are "curled, malleable and shiny," according to the provider. The frozen products were produced between May 31 and June 22 and were shipped to retail locations in the U.S. A full list of recalled items can be found on the ConAgra website.
The recall is considered a Class I recall, a high-risk, serious health hazard. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries or adverse reactions due to consumption of the frozen products, according to FSIS.
The recall is "exclusive to the frozen meal products produced and sold by ConAgra foods and in no way affects any P.F. Chang's restaurant locations," P.F. Chang's reiterated in a Facebook post Monday.
