For people in the path of the pope's East Coast tour, getting a package delivered might require some divine intervention.
FedEx, UPS and the U.S. Postal Service have all told customers to expect service delays and disruptions as Pope Francis visits New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., this week.
He touches down in the nation's capital on Tuesday, fresh off a visit to Cuba, before heading to New York on Thursday and Philadelphia on Saturday, where he will stay for a day before heading back to Rome on Sunday.
That might be good news for Catholics eager to catch a glimpse of the pope, but bad news for people waiting for the delivery of their new iPhone, due out on Friday.
In Philadelphia, some USPS collection boxes will be removed or locked, and service delayed for some zip codes. USPS expects "only minimal/limited delays to deliveries and collections" in New York and Washington.
FedEx told customers to expect "delays and disruptions" in certain areas of all three cities.
"Our goal is 100% reliability and we appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding while our operations teams work to minimize any delays," the company wrote on its website.

UPS customers can expect no deliveries or pick-ups in certain zip codes, and can check their status online.
With massive crowds expected, cities are committing large security details to ensure the pope's safety. The NYPD said there will be at least 7,000 uniformed cops and thousands of undercover officers on the ground as Pope Francis visits the city.
