Land Rover has lined up a new partnership that might be described as out-of-this-world, pairing the British SUV manufacturer with fledgling manned space company Virgin Galactic.
The two new partners staged a flashy Monday night celebration that included the roll-out of Land Rover’s new Discovery Vision Concept vehicle. Set to make its first public appearance at the New York Auto Show later this week, the concept offers a hint of what’s to come as a replacement for an SUV sold in the U.S. as the LR4 and, for the rest of the world, as the Land Rover Discovery.
(NBC Universal, the parent company of NBC News Digital, is the official media partner of Virgin Galactic's first commercial space flight.)
